Do you repair chimneys?
No. EmberShield does not offer chimney repair services. We focus exclusively on chimney cleaning and inspections. If we identify issues during an inspection, we’ll explain our findings so you can make informed decisions about the next steps.
How often should I have my chimney cleaned?
The National Fire Protection Association recommends having your chimney inspected at least once a year. Cleaning frequency depends on how often you use your fireplace and how much creosote has accumulated.

Yes. As long as there are no safety concerns identified during the inspection, your fireplace is typically ready to use once the service is complete.
What if you find damage during the inspection?
We’ll explain what we found and answer any questions you have. While EmberShield does not perform repairs, we’ll document the issue so you understand what needs attention before using your fireplace.
Do you inspect gas fireplaces?
Yes. We inspect the chimney and venting system associated with gas fireplaces. We do not service or repair gas appliances.
Do you remove animal nests or other blockages?
If a blockage can be safely removed as part of a standard cleaning, we’ll take care of it. If the situation requires specialized wildlife removal or services outside the scope of chimney cleaning, we’ll let you know.
What are the signs my chimney needs cleaning?
